A camera with real aperture blades
The 48MP Pro Fusion main camera uses six laser-cut blades to move between f/1.48 and f/4.0. Every iPhone before this had one fixed aperture and produced depth of field in software. This is the first that controls light with the lens.
A20 Pro, built on 2 nanometres
A 6-core CPU and a 7-core GPU that Apple says is up to 40% faster than the A19 Pro, with a dual 16-core Neural Engine — 32 cores in total, double the AI processing. Memory bandwidth is up 50%.
Sustained speed, not just peak speed
A vapour chamber with three times the surface area holds performance up to 40% higher under load. That is the difference between a fast phone and a phone that stays fast through a long export or a long game.
Three 48MP cameras and 16x zoom range
48MP Main with variable aperture, 48MP Ultra Wide at f/2.2, and a 48MP Telephoto at 100mm. That gives 8x optical-quality zoom in, 2x out — a 16x range — plus an 18MP Center Stage front camera.
Apple's own silicon for connectivity
The C2 modem uses 15% less energy with meaningfully faster uploads, and the N1 chip brings Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread.
40% recycled content

Apple's first foldableFolded, it is a 5.4-inch phone. Open, it is a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display and the thinnest iPhone Apple has built. Apple opened pre-orders on 16 October and ships from 23 October in more than 70 countries, with 28 further regions on 30 October.
Two screens
A 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR with a nano-texture finish, and a 5.4-inch outer display. Both ProMotion, both Always On, both 3,000 nits.
Touch ID, not Face ID
Built into the side button. It works in bright sun, at an angle, and with the phone flat on a desk. It also unlocks from an Apple Watch.
Two batteries
One in each half — 31 hours of video on the inner screen, 44 hours on the outer, 24 hours using both.
Cameras that use the fold
48MP Fusion main with 2x telephoto and a 48MP Ultra Wide, plus a front camera hidden under the inner display. Duo Preview shows your subject the shot on the outer screen.

Is there a standard iPhone 18 this year?
No. Apple did not release a standard iPhone 18 or an iPhone 18 Plus. The 2026 line-up is the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone Duo. If you want a non-Pro iPhone, the iPhone 17e remains on sale at iTey Store from KSh 91,999.
What is the iPhone 18 Pro Max price in Kenya?

What is the difference between the iPhone 18 Pro and the Pro Max?
Size and battery, and nothing else that matters. Both run the same A20 Pro chip and the same 48MP Pro Fusion camera system with variable aperture. The Pro has a 6.3-inch display and up to 36 hours of video at 211 g; the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and up to 45 hours at 249 g.
What is the variable aperture on the iPhone 18 Pro?
Six laser-cut blades inside the main camera that physically open and close between f/1.48 and f/4.0, exactly as a proper camera lens does. Wide open it gathers light for low-light shots; closed down it keeps a whole group sharp from front to back. No previous iPhone could do this optically.
Does the iPhone Duo take a physical SIM card?
No. The iPhone Duo is eSIM only worldwide and has no SIM tray at all. Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom all support eSIM, and our team converts your line for you in the showroom. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are available with either eSIM or a physical SIM.
What colours are available?
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max come in black, silver, glacier and the new burgundy. The iPhone Duo comes in Star White and Night Sky. All colours cost the same at a given storage capacity.
How tough are they?
All three carry Ceramic Shield 2 on the front with three times the scratch resistance, a Ceramic Shield back, and an IP68 rating to six metres for thirty minutes. The iPhone Duo adds Grade 5 titanium and a hinge built from more than 100 components.
