iPhone Trade-In Values in Kenya (July 2026): The Actual Prices We Pay
Most phone shops in Kenya treat trade-in values like a secret — you only find out what your iPhone is "worth" after twenty minutes of negotiation at a counter. We think that's backwards. So here they are: the actual trade-in values iTey Store pays right now, for every iPhone model and storage size we accept. No mystery, no "come in and we'll see." The same numbers are published permanently on our trade-in page.

iPhone 15 Pro 128GB, iPhone 12 and older, other storage sizes and non-iPhone devices are valued on inspection at the counter — bring them in. The trade-in page is always the up-to-date reference if values change.
The three conditions — read these before you come in
These estimates are real, and they come with three conditions we apply the same way for everyone:
- Battery health must be above 80%. Check yours right now: Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. We verify it on the spot. At 80% or below, the listed price doesn't apply — the phone is valued on inspection instead.
- Good physical condition. No dents, no scratches, no cracks. A damaged phone isn't rejected — it's simply valued separately at inspection.
- The phone must be yours and ready to hand over. iCloud signed out (Find My iPhone off), a valid ID, and ideally your purchase receipt — proof of ownership protects everyone and can strengthen your offer.
How the trade-in actually works
- Step 1 — Get your estimate. Find your model in the table above, or fill the estimate form on our trade-in page — our team responds on WhatsApp within two business hours.
- Step 2 — Inspection. Bring the phone to iTey Store — Cookie House, Accra Road, 3rd Floor, Store 311, Nairobi (Mon–Sat, 9AM–7PM). We check battery health, condition and ownership in front of you. We never commit to a price we can't honour — and we don't spring surprises at the counter.
- Step 3 — Your old phone becomes money. The agreed value comes straight off your new device, same visit. Pay any balance with M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard or bank transfer.
Why you shouldn't sit on an old iPhone
iPhones hold value better than any Android in Kenya — but that value only moves in one direction, and it steps down hardest when a new generation launches. When the iPhone 18 arrives (expected later this year), the 17 series joins our trade-in table and every generation below it typically re-prices downward. The 16 Pro Max that trades for KSh 85,000 today will not fetch that after launch day.
The smart play: if you already know you're upgrading this year, trade in before the new generation lands, while your phone sits at the top of the table. Not sure whether you should upgrade at all? We wrote an honest, model-by-model answer: When to Upgrade Your iPhone in Kenya (2026).
What your trade-in can become
Trade-in credit applies to anything in the store — but most customers put it toward one of these:
- iPhone 17e — from KSh 91,999. A 14 Pro trade-in covers more than half of it.
- iPhone 17 Air — from KSh 124,999. The thin-and-light flagship.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max — from KSh 169,999. Trade a 16 Pro Max and it's effectively half price.

Frequently asked questions
How much is my iPhone worth in Kenya right now?
Find your exact model and storage in the table above — those are iTey Store's real July 2026 values, from KSh 25,000 (iPhone 13 128GB) to KSh 85,000 (iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB), for phones in good condition with battery health above 80%.
Does iTey accept iPhones with weak batteries?
Yes — but not at the listed price. At 80% battery health or below, the phone is valued on inspection instead. The listed estimates apply to batteries above 80% only.
Does iTey take cracked or dented iPhones?
We assess them, but the table prices don't apply — damaged units are valued separately at inspection. If the phone is otherwise healthy, it still carries real value.
Do you take iPhone 12, 11 or older?
Bring them in — they're valued on inspection at the counter rather than listed in the table.
Can I trade in an Android phone?
Yes, non-iPhone devices are also valued on inspection. iPhones simply hold their value best, which is why they get a published table.
What do I need to bring?
The phone (iCloud signed out), a valid national ID or passport, and your purchase receipt if you have it. That's it — the whole process happens in one visit.
When will iPhone 17 trade-in values be published?
The 17 series joins the table when the iPhone 18 launches. Pre-register interest on the trade-in page and you'll get the values as soon as they're set.
Values current as of July 2026 and subject to the conditions above; the trade-in page always carries the latest table. Questions? WhatsApp +254 727 415 589.
