Sony revealed two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers at State of Play on 3 September 2026. Pre-orders opened on 10 September and both release on 19 November, the same day GTA 6 itself arrives.

They are KSh 17,500 each at iTey Store, in black or white, and you can reserve one now with a 70% deposit. Sony has said the run is limited, and Kenya is never in the first allocation — so reserving is how you get one at launch rather than hunting a restock that may never come.

What Sony actually made

This is a Vice City design done with some restraint, which is not what anyone expected. A shimmering iridescent finish runs blue into purple across the lower half of the pad. Palm-leaf texturing is pressed into the shell rather than printed on it. The face buttons are picked out in pastel pink, and the touchpad carries the large VI Roman numeral from the game's own marketing.

Is it worth double a normal controller?

Honestly: only if you want it. A standard DualSense is KSh 8,999 at iTey Store and plays GTA 6 identically. The haptics and adaptive triggers are the same hardware. Nothing about this controller makes you better at the game.

What you are buying is the launch edition of the biggest game release in a decade, in a finish that will not be made again. That is a real reason, and it is fine to say so plainly rather than dress it up as performance.

Questions we get about back order

What happens if the item never arrives?

You get your deposit back in full. We refund to the M-Pesa number that paid, and we tell you as soon as we know rather than letting you chase us. A deposit is not a gamble on our supply chain.

Why 70% and not the full amount?

Because we have to commit to the distributor to hold your unit, and because asking for everything upfront on an item you have not seen is not a reasonable thing to do. The balance is due when it is in your hands.

How long does it really take?

Seven to fourteen days for most items. Launch hardware like the GTA 6 controllers is tied to a global release date, so November for those regardless of when you reserve. Reserving early affects whether you get one, not when it ships.

Can I change my mind?

Before we place the order, yes, and you get the deposit back. Once your unit is on its way it becomes harder, so tell us early if something changes.

Is the price really locked?

Yes. It is the main reason to reserve rather than wait. Import costs and exchange rates move, and limited stock moves further. What you book at is what you pay.
