iPhone Duo
Apple announced the iPhone Duo on 9 September 2026 — its first foldable iPhone, and the name it chose over the "iPhone Fold" everyone had been expecting. Folded it is a 5.4-inch phone covering roughly 90% of an iPhone 18 Pro's screen area; open it is a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display and the thinnest iPhone Apple has built. It runs the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro, uses Touch ID in the side button rather than Face ID, and its dual battery delivers up to 44 hours of video on the outer screen — the longest of any iPhone. Grade 5 titanium, Ceramic Shield 2, a hinge of over 100 components and IP68 to six metres. Everything here is confirmed by Apple, not reported.

Frequently Asked Questions
When does the iPhone Duo reach Kenya?
Apple ships from 23 October 2026 in more than 70 countries, and Kenya is not among them. Stock reaches Nairobi through distribution, normally two to four weeks later, so early to mid-November is realistic. Reserve now and we contact you the day ours land.
How much is the iPhone Duo in Kenya?
From KSh 344,999 for the 256GB at iTey Store, up to KSh 514,999 for the 2TB. Prices exclude VAT and you can reserve with a 70% deposit.
Does the iPhone Duo have Face ID?
No. It uses Touch ID built into the side button, the same approach as the iPad Air. On a device with two screens that is the practical answer, and it works in bright sunlight where Face ID often struggles.
Does it take a physical SIM card?
No. The iPhone Duo is eSIM only in every country and has no SIM tray at all. Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom all support eSIM, and we convert your line for you in the showroom.
What colours does it come in?
Two at launch: Star White and Night Sky. Both cost the same at every storage capacity.
Should I buy this or the iPhone 18 Pro Max?
The iPhone 18 Pro Max suits most buyers — it starts at KSh 184,999, uses the same A20 Pro chip, and adds a variable-aperture camera the Duo does not have. Choose the Duo if you specifically want a tablet that folds into your pocket.
